1. Our commitment

1.1. Banema S.A. (“Banema Studio”), tax number 501 759 115, is committed to making the banemastudio.pt website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities and functional limitations.

1.2. This statement is made under Decree-Law no. 82/2022 of 6 December, which transposes Directive (EU) 2019/882 (the European Accessibility Act) into Portuguese law.

2. Standard and compliance status

2.1. We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, as referenced by the harmonised European standard EN 301 549.

2.2. This website is partially compliant with that standard. The known limitations are listed in section 4.

2.3. The assessment was carried out in September 2026, using automated testing (axe-core) and a manual review of the main pages: home, collections, product, search and contact.

3. How this website meets the requirements

• Every page can be navigated with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator, and has a “skip to content” link.
• The website can be enlarged with the browser’s zoom and with the pinch-to-zoom gesture on mobile devices.
• Product images have alternative text, and purely decorative images are ignored by screen readers.
• Buttons and links have an accessible name, including those that only show an icon or a logo.
• Forms (contact, newsletter, customer account and search) have labels, and screen readers announce their error messages.
• Text and controls have sufficient contrast against their background.
• Menus, the cart and dialogs open and close with the keyboard, close with the Escape key and keep focus inside them.
• Animations are reduced when your device is set to reduce motion.
• The language of each page is identified, and the website is available in Portuguese and other languages.

4. Known limitations

• Background videos: some decorative videos on the home page play automatically and loop, without a pause button. They contain no essential information and no sound. If your device is set to reduce motion, page animations are reduced.
• Image alternative text: on some product images, the alternative text repeats the product name instead of describing the photo. We are reviewing these texts progressively.
• Newsletter pop-up: the newsletter pop-up and its tab are provided by a third-party application (Klaviyo). The tab has no accessible name. You can subscribe to the newsletter using the form in the footer.
• Customer reviews: product reviews are provided by a third-party application (Judge.me).
• Checkout and payment: checkout and payment are provided by Shopify, and Shopify’s own accessibility commitments apply to them.
• Cookie banner: the cookie consent banner is provided by Shopify.
