Inspired by the practice of Aires Mateus architects, the collection explores the relationship between solids and voids, interior and exterior, through the dialogue between geometries — “receptacles of forms” — that nest within each other and are transformed by magnetic action. This duality is also inscribed in the material and manufacture: 3D printing builds by addition, while the manual technique of gainerie carefully subtracts the thickness of the leather, cladding the object like a continuous skin, without revealing its joins.
